Apple TV brings animals of Burgers' Zoo into the living room

Also in the Netherlands Apple TV appears in more and more living rooms. With the latest generation Apple TV it has now become possible to download apps, so users can also download games in addition to images. This makes it possible for third parties to develop apps. Royal Burgers’ Zoo, as the first zoo in the Netherlands, has developed its own app on Apple TV in collaboration with Internet Agency Infocaster. The animals of the Bush, Desert, Ocean and other parts of the Arnhem Zoo can now be seen on the screen very impressively with the app.

International and universal content

International and universal content

In everything Burgers’ Zoo does, the experience of nature is central. The Arnhem Zoo can immerse people in the natural environments that are so characteristic for Burgers' Zoo with video images in their own homes. Despite the fact that video is a medium that has been in existence a very long time, this medium continues pioneering. “With our unplanned viral in which a chimpanzee knocked a drone out of the air during the filming for our television program Burgers’ Zoo we immediately realised even more so that we have content with which we can reach the world”, according to marketing manager Tim Lammers of Burgers’ Zoo. “People from all over the world reacted to the viral and we also received reactions about the park; therefore we were of the opinion to present our Zoo ‘digitally’, so people all over the world can enjoy the ecosystems of our Zoo. This includes interesting content that is independent of language. So we are bringing our animals into your living room, whether you are looking at it from Bangkok, New York or Amsterdam.”

At Burgers' Zoo visitors can marvel at the sight of animals living in a natural environment. When you stop a moment and take the time, you will discover and experience how special animals and nature are. The image material the Arnhem Zoo presents via its own app on Apple TV shows, amongst others, the large shark basin, the penguins in the Zoo or the bighorn sheep in the Desert. In addition, the images are very suitable as moving background in the living room. The video images have been created by Studio Mambeau.
