Corona

We are delighted to welcome visitors back to our zoo. To make your visit safe and responsible, we have been working hard to accommodate social distancing standards, and we will be significantly limiting the maximum number of visitors per day. To achieve and regulate that, we have set up a booking system. All visitors (including season pass holders) must book a timeslot in our online booking system before their visit and bring the confirmation with them when they visit. Visitors aged 13 and over are required to wear a mask in indoor areas such as our shop, the toilets, and the Ocean, Mangrove, Bush and Desert. We will keep you updated on the latest news and developments through our online channels.

Online ticket sales

Entrance tickets to the zoo must be purchased online. The ticket desk is only open for emergencies. Parking tickets must also be purchased online.

Booking a timeslot online

Starting next week, visitors can buy entrance tickets online and book a 30-minute timeslot during which they can enter the zoo. In addition to the entrance ticket, each visitor must also present confirmation of their timeslot reservation. If you are visiting Burgers’ Zoo with three members of your household, you will need to book timeslots for three people. Parking tickets must also be purchased online.

What to bring for your visit

All visitors (including season pass holders) must bring the following with them on the day of their visit:

  1. Entrance ticket or valid season pass;
  2. Parking ticket purchased online or valid season parking ticket (if arriving by car);
  3. The timeslot booking confirmation for each member of your party.
  4. A mouth mask.

Without these items, you will not be admitted to the zoo.

Three guarantees

Facilitating a safe and worry-free day out is essential to us. To this end, we are offering three guarantees.

  1. We will maintain the 1.5-metre distance in our zoo.
  2. We will provide sufficient, clear information available in the form of understandable instructions and signage.
  3. We will take additional hygiene measures.

What else does this mean for you as a visitor?

Visitors aged 13 and over are required to wear a mask in all indoor areas such as the indoor eco-displays, restaurants and the shop.

Some areas of the zoo look a bit different, which may take some getting used to.  For example, some paths have become one-way routes, extra hygiene measures have been taken, and our employees are on hand to provide explanations. Regulating the number of visitors allowed into the park also requires some flexibility on your part. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Please also observe the travel and safety regulations of your country of residence when making your travel plans.
