Practical information about your journey through Burgers' Zoo

Map of the zoo

Burgers' Zoo covers a total of 45 hectares! If you wish to prepare your visit to Burgers' Zoo, click here to see the map.

Signposts in the zoo

Signposts in the zoo

There are various signposts, each with four signs, located throughout the zoo. The top sign indicates different routes through the zoo. The route numbers and explanations can also be found on the map that you will receive at the entrance. The top sign also has an arrow pointing in the direction of our conference centre, the Safari Meeting Centre. The next two signs point the way to various habitats and the animals within the habitat in which you are located. The knob on top of the signpost indicates which habitat you are in. The bottom sign points towards facilities such as toilets and restaurants.

Playgrounds

Playgrounds

Burgers’ Avonturenland is a large, modern playground surrounded by a terrace. The Park Restaurant with Dutch cuisine and Panter Plaza distribution points is located next to Burgers’ Avonturenland, allowing parents to enjoy a cup of coffee and cake or a meal, while the children run around in the climbing area with rope bridges, slides and swings. The playground is split into two areas: a safe play area for young children and a separate play area for older children. Since 2012, there is also an indoor play area, the Kids Jungle.

Pets not allowed

Pets can spread diseases among the animals of Burgers’ Zoo, but our animals can also transmit diseases to your pets. Therefore, pets are not allowed in Burgers’ Zoo. We only make an exception for specially trained dogs used by people with a disability, such as guide dogs for the blind and other assistance dogs. Please contact the Reception at Burgers’ Zoo about this.

Burgers’ Zoo has several restaurants. We work with fresh products at all locations and prepare the meals in your presence. The newly renovated Bush Restaurant and Park Restaurant are open daily. When the weather permits, our Safari terrace and Park terrace are also open for the public. All restaurants have free WiFi.

Catering
Shop

Shop

Our aim is that after an unforgettable day at our park everyone should be able to afford a souvenir. All our souvenirs are reasonably priced, and we have a wide range of items between one and five euros. We strive to design as many products as possible under our own Burgers’ Zoo label. Products that have been specially designed for us and are not available anywhere else in the Netherlands. For example, we have developed t-shirts made of organic cotton in the style of our brand identity, or a bag made from recycled PET bottles and cuddly toy manatees and aardvarks. Our posters and postcards are contemporary, and the designs are regularly updated.

Smoke free

Smoke free

As a family zoo, Burgers’ Zoo is essentially smoke-free. We want to protect all our visitors and animals against harmful passive smoking and the many children in our park from the temptation of smoking. We believe everybody wants children to grow up safely and healthily. Of course, smokers remain welcome! That is why we have designated smoking areas with ashtray tiles throughout the park, where you can also dispose of your cigarette butts. You are permitted to smoke within the marked area around the smoking tiles. This also applies to e-cigarettes.
