School outings are not possible

Until further notice, we will not be able to accept any new school outings until the end of 2020.

For more information about school outings in 2021, please see below:

Secondary education

A school trip to Burgers’ Zoo is an educational day out. Because Burgers’ Zoo is largely indoor, weather independent areas such as the Bush, the Desert, the Ocean and the Mangrove ensure that a day at Burgers’ Zoo is a day to remember no matter the weather.

Guided tours

Burgers’ Zoo provides guided tours for secondary schools. These guided tours are only given if they are included in the curriculum and have a concrete learning objective. Our capacity for guided tours for secondary schools is limited. Request a guided tour below—at least three weeks in advance—and describe the learning objective in the ‘additional information’ on the registration form. If you have more than 50 pupils, please choose one of the other educational programmes that you accompany yourself.

Book online

The rates for students of secondary education for the months of November, December, January, February and March are €13.50 per student. All other months the students of secondary education have to pay €17.50 per student. In addition, one adult guide per fifteen students gets free admission. The other adult guides only pay €11.00 per person.

You can book your school trip directly online by sending us the form below.

Important information

In our park we take various measures to guarantee the appropriate distance of 1.5 meters. For example, we use a maximum number of visitors per day. In order to safeguard this maximum, it is necessary that all visitors (including subscribers) reserve online access to the park in advance.

Due to the new measures, Burgers' Zoo will be closed from 5 to 18 November.
