Secondary education

School outings are not possible

Until further notice, we will not be able to accept any new school outings.

For more information about school outings, please see below:

Secondary education

A school trip to Burgers’ Zoo is an educational day out. Because Burgers’ Zoo is largely indoor, weather independent areas such as the Bush, the Desert, the Ocean and the Mangrove ensure that a day at Burgers’ Zoo is a day to remember no matter the weather.

Guided tours

Burgers’ Zoo provides guided tours for secondary schools. These guided tours are only given if they are included in the curriculum and have a concrete learning objective. Our capacity for guided tours for secondary schools is limited. Request a guided tour below—at least three weeks in advance—and describe the learning objective in the ‘additional information’ on the registration form. If you have more than 50 pupils, please choose one of the other educational programmes that you accompany yourself.
