Visitors experience moving dinosaurs

More than 20 impressive dinosaurs are on display at Burgers' Zoo from Saturday, 27 September, to Tuesday, 4 November 2025. The 11-metre-long, 4.6-metre-tall Brachiosaurus towers over the visitors. Many of the dinosaurs can move and make noise. The Arnhem zoo takes visitors on an educational journey, where young adventurers can even get their hands dirty excavating a dinosaur skeleton and dinosaur eggs.

Famous and lesser-known dinosaurs

The Tyrannosaurus rex, Triceratops, and Stegosaurus are, of course, in attendance, but visitors will also encounter lesser-known species. The Amargasaur and Wuerhosaurus, for example, were discovered relatively recently in Argentina and China, respectively. Traditionally, excavations have been largely conducted in North America and Europe, but spectacular discoveries have also been made in South America, Africa, and Asia in recent decades.

An adventure with an educational angle

Over twenty dinosaurs representing seventeen distinct species are brought to life with themed information panels that provide fascinating facts and context. Burgers' Zoo also provides comparisons with living animal species and their specific role in a given ecosystem. The zoo guides will conduct educational activities on this theme, and children can dig up a dinosaur skeleton and dinosaur eggs or go on an exciting adventure through the maze.

Practical information

The 'Dino's at the Zoo' event will take place at Royal Burgers' Zoo from Saturday, 27 September, to Tuesday, 4 November 2025, from 09:00 to 17:00 daily. The event is free for season ticket holders and included with an entrance ticket to the zoo. Over twenty dinosaurs representing seventeen species are on display along a central route through the zoo.
